Duquesne’s Paws on the Bluff, a campus-wide effort—in partnership with Animal Friends and its Chow Wagon program—is collecting pet food and toys from September 23-30, which will be distributed to area food banks.

In tough economic times, many families can’t afford to feed their pets, causing heartache for pet owners and swelling the population of homeless animals. Too often, pet owners go hungry themselves in order to provide for their pets.

The goal in establishing Paws on the Bluff is to make it so that these types of choices no longer have to be made. Donation boxes are located throughout campus to provide easy drop off options for product donations and a convenient online donation option gives everyone the opportunity to participate.

Bring cat or dog food, treats or toys to the following locations:

  • Law School (Student Lounge)
  • Power Center (1st Floor)
  • Student Union (3rd Floor Info Desk)
  • Gumberg Library (4th Floor elevators)
  • Mary Pappert School of Music (3rd Floor Lobby)
  • Admin. Admissions Office
  • Rockwell (6th Floor)
  • Fisher (6th Floor)
  • Towers Residence Hall (Lobby)
  • Brottier Residence Hall (Lobby)
