The University community is invited to celebrate Duquesne’s Catholic Spiritan heritage during its annual Heritage Week from Monday, Sept. 28, through Saturday, Oct. 3.

“As our campus community is no longer only on our physical campus, we are offering both in-person and virtual events this year so that we can still celebrate the week together,” said Luci-Jo DiMaggio, director of mission animation in the Division of Mission and Identity.

Events for the week include the following:

  • Virtual Wine into Water, all week long, to support Spiritan Mission in Olkokola, Tanzania. Wine packages will be available for a $40 donation and can be purchased online via Cashnet.
  • Story Sharing with Fr. Bill Christy, Sept. 28, noon, via Zoom. Free hot lunch available for pickup in the Student Union. RSVP required.
  • Virtual Midweek Meditation with Amber Lasure from the Power Center, Sept. 30, 1 p.m., via Zoom. RSVP required.
  • University Birthday Party, Oct. 1.
  • Fall Festival, Oct. 3, 4 to 7 p.m., Mellon Lawn and Academic Walk.

For a complete events schedule or to RSVP for an event, visit the Heritage Week website. For more information, email Luci-Jo DiMaggio.
