Thanks to Duquesne’s faculty and staff, the University’s 15th Annual Turkey Drive provided 200 turkeys to families during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) organized the drive, with University volunteers packing and delivering the turkeys the weekend before Thanksgiving.

“Year after year, we are grateful for the University community and the commitment to helping families in their time of need,” said ODI Director Dr. Anthony Kane. “This year has been extremely difficult for many, as the pandemic has created financial hardships that will perhaps be felt most deeply during the holiday season. It’s more important than ever for us to come together and assist our neighbors during these challenging times.”

To date, the turkey drive has provided more than 2,000 turkey dinners for local families in need, furthering Duquesne’s commitment to serving the region’s communities.
