Sophomore nursing students will mark the beginning of the clinical phase of their professional careers during the seventh annual White Coat Ceremony, Friday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m. in the Union Ballroom.

Approximately 165 students will be joined by family and friends as they receive their white coats and pledge their commitment to providing patient-centered, compassionate care during their days as Duquesne students and future nurses.
Juliet Arowosaye, a 2020 graduate of the School of Nursing, will deliver the keynote address at the ceremony. She is a registered nurse in the Mother-Baby Unit and Parent-Partnership Unit at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital.
