The journey to end breast cancer starts with a single step. Employees are invited to take that step during the 5th Annual Walk for Breast Cancer, which will be held at noon on Thursday, Oct. 9, on Academic Walk near the Union Perron.
The cost is $20 per employee, but walkers who sign up with a first-time participant can register together for only $35. Registration forms are available online.
Sponsored by the Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the walk is just one of many events planned to promote October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Proceeds from the two-mile Walk for Breast Cancer will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation through Duquesne’s United Way efforts.
