A supply chain management major has been selected as one of only eight national recipients of a prestigious scholarship based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership and high ethical standards.

Matthew Christiansen
Through the R. Gene Richter Scholar program, junior Matthew Christiansen will receive $5,000 for educational expenses and will be enrolled in a mentoring program, paired with a supply chain management executive and previous Richter Scholar winner.
He and other recipients will be honored at the Institute for Supply Management annual conference in Phoenix, Ariz., from May 3-6.
Christiansen becomes Duquesne’s fifth Richter Scholar in the 12 years of the program, said Dr. John Mawhinney, director of supply chain management programs.
