The annual Human Rights Film Series continues with a free screening of Constructing the Terrorist Threat tonight, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in Room 105 of College Hall.
Featuring Deepa Kumar, one of the nation’s foremost scholars on Islamophobia, the film looks at how Muslims have become the predominant face of terror in U.S. news and entertainment media.
The film series will conclude next week with a screening of Human Flow on Wednesday, Feb. 7. The film features an epic journey led by the internationally renowned artist Ai Weiwei and gives a powerful visual expression to massive human migration.
