University faculty, staff and students will honor breast cancer survivors and those currently battling the disease at the 10th Annual Walk to End Breast Cancer Friday, Oct. 18.
A prayer at 11:45 a.m. will precede the walk, which begins at noon on Academic Walk near the Union. The campus community, family and friends are invited to participate.
Registration forms can be downloaded here and submitted with payment to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in room 106 of the Union. Cost is $20 for employees and $10 for students. Same-day registration will be available the morning of the walk starting at 11 a.m.
Proceeds will benefit Duquesne’s United Way Campaign and be designated for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Making Strides through the American Cancer Society.
The Walk to End Breast Cancer is sponsored by the Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Epsilon Phi, the School of Nursing International Honor Society.
