I'm Still Standing: From Captive US Soldier to Free Citizen - My Journey HomeParticipants will discuss selected chapters of Shoshana Johnson’s memoir, I’m Still Standing: From Captive U.S. Soldier to Free Citizen–My Journey Home. The book tells the powerful story of Johnson’s captivity by Iraqi forces, her rescue and recovery.

The conversation will take place Friday, Oct. 22, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in Gumberg Library’s fourth-floor Popular Reading Room. Lunch will be provided.

Co-hosted by the School of Nursing, the Office of Military and Veteran Students and Gumberg Library, the Veteran’s Book Club is designed to foster an awareness and build community among military and veteran faculty, staff, students, their friends and family by engaging Duquesne’s campus in shared conversation.
