As part of Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month, the Center for Excellence in Diversity and Student Inclusion will host award-winning author Oswaldo Estrada for a special presentation.

Estrada, professor of Latin American literature and culture at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will present Las Guerras Perdidas at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, in the Bayer Pappert Lecture Hall.
A Peruvian-American writer and literary critic, Estrada has authored and edited several books of literary and cultural criticism. His short stories have appeared in journals and edited volumes in the United States, Latin America and Europe. Estrada won the 2020 Premio de la Feria Internacional del Libro Latino y Latinoamericano en Tufts, and two of his books won Latino Book Awards in 2020.
The Center for Excellence in Diversity and Student Inclusion works with student organizations and University and community partners to celebrate diversity through a range of Heritage Month celebrations. Such events reflect Duquesne’s commitment to expanding student horizons by celebrating cultures from around the world.
