As part of its continuing Religion and Society Series, the Consortium for Christian-Muslim Dialogue (CCMD) will host the lecture Salvation: Atonement and Intercession in Christian & Islamic Thought.
Dr. Siavash Asadi will compare the understanding of salvation in Christian and Islamic thought, focusing on Christian discussions of atonement and Shi‘ite accounts of intercession. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, at 4 p.m. in Room 104 of College Hall.
Asadi, a visiting scholar from Imam Sadeq University in Tehran, is conducting research with the CCMD.
